The movie Killers with Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher is being released June 4—do you get to show your funny side?
Yes, I get to play Katherine Heigl’s father, but I’m not just playing a dad. It’s quite interesting and complex and there are a lot of twists and turns. It’s a romantic/action/adventure film. I’m looking forward to seeing it.
Do you have a big role?
It is, I think. They put me in the trailer. [Laughs] We shot for 10 days in the south of France—that was kind of neat. And it was fun working with Ashton and Katherine.
So, as far as you’re concerned, reports of Heigl being a diva and having a bad attitude aren’t fair?
Who? What? I find her charming and incredibly good. What we say in the business is she’s got chops. She’s really a good actress. Everybody gets his or her turn in the box with the press—I would take it with a grain of salt. I had nothing but fun with her. She was nothing but professional.
